Frequently Asked Questions - Bath Linen

Plain cotton is strong and economical. Combed cotton is treated to remove short fibers, making it softer and more resistant. Egyptian cotton, with its extra-long fibers, is the most luxurious: exceptionally soft, absorbent, and durable, it is the benchmark for high-end hotels. Room Zero Zero offers towels and bathrobes used by luxury hotels that meet these standards.

For daily use, a grammage between 400 and 600 gsm is ideal: absorbent and plush enough without being too heavy. Luxury hotel towels are usually in the higher end of this range.

Yes, hotel bath linen is designed to retain its softness after numerous washes, provided the care instructions are followed (appropriate temperature, tumble drying or low-temperature drying). Avoid excessive fabric softener, which can reduce absorbency.

Wash at 40-60°C according to instructions, use a moderate amount of detergent and little or no fabric softener (which clogs fibres and reduces absorbency). Air dry or tumble dry at a low temperature.

With proper care, quality hotel bath linen can withstand more than 200 washes. In residential use (less intensive), a hotel-quality towel or bathrobe can easily last 5 years or more.
